In September last year (2020) Vasiliki Kamilaraki started as market analyst at Hammer. During the first month’s the focus was on consultancy and research skill building. Vasiliki reflects on her first half year at Hammer.
Can you quickly introduce yourself?
My name is Vasiliki Kamilaraki and I am from Greece. I am 28 years old. I live in the Netherlands since 2017, where I arrived to start my Master studies at Wageningen University and Research (WUR). I studied Marketing and Consumer Behavior and I have a background in Agriculture. The previous years, I have worked as a market researcher for a vegetable seeds company and for a data collection company.
Why did you choose to work at Hammer?
After I completed my Master studies, I had the opportunity to choose between several job offers. However, I was looking for a position that could really trigger my interest, be perfectly suited to my background and expertise, and meet my career goals. Hammer offered me this opportunity. As an analyst at Hammer, I can combine my knowledge and experience in the field of consultancy, market research and analysis, and I can keep developing my skills and qualifications. In addition, Hammer, as a relatively young company, is more agile and flexible, which gives me the opportunity to work across different fields of interest.
How did you experience the first months?
My introduction period was great! There were several new things to learn and to adapt regarding the way of working. Courses and training sessions were significant part of my first months at Hammer, and they still are. There is always space for improvement and personal development. As a full-time employee, I can participate in several projects and to work significant amount of time with the Hammer team, getting to know my colleagues better and the company’s culture. I am very glad be part of the Hammer team. I have great colleagues with an ambitious mindset and passion for development and improvement. I really enjoy working with them.
Can you tell something about the projects you have been working on?
Currently, I am working on a market and competitor analysis project, for a financial service provider. More specific, the project is an assessment of the market size in different countries and a competitive field analysis. This project is a relevant addition to my project portfolio since I had the opportunity to broaden my knowledge of the financial industry. I look forward to the future at Hammer!
